Since Taurus bought Rossi, they don't answer any questions about the Rossis that were imported by Interarms. I was wondering if anyone knew what the markings on this Rossi were, and perhaps an approximate year or date of manufacture.

I know Remington puts different codes to identify barrels, chokes, the gunsmith who inspected it, repairs, etc. Current market value, date of manufacture, and number of this type available: B.C.Miroku 38 special revolver, blue, 6 shot with a 3 inch read more. Also there is a number 6 perhaps above the "XII.91". Current market value, date of manufacture, and number of this. On the frame under the left grip, it looks like "XII.91" maybe, but the numbers to the right of the decimal look like they weren't struck well just the tops of them are visible.

Also on the frame under the right side grip is the number 82 above and to the right of "5 9 88". On the cylinder yoke is "5 9 88", and that also appears on the bottom of the frame when you remove the right grip. Go ahead, shoot all the +P your hand and wallet can stand in a modern. Serial Number Iocated on the bttom of th grips (th strip of metaI separating the tw grips) is cIearly marked 234519.Any idea if this is a vintage revolver If so, what kind of value might be attached thanks. 38 Special +P without further comment, and Ruger does too, but does add that you shouldn’t shoot any other ammunition, in a likely caution against +P+ ammo. Then there is some markings I don't understand. Rossi 38 Special Identification I am Iooking at a Rssi.38 special, black metal finish with walnut or rosewood grips. On the frame behind the cylinder yoke, it looks like "M685" (Rossi didn't make a Model 685), so I'm thinking it's M68S. On the frame on the right side under the cylinder is the INTERARMS stamp, then the serial number AA132502. The left side of the barrel has the "AMADEO ROSSI S.A.", the right side of the barrel has ".38 SPECIAL". The Blue Book doesn't talk about a model 68S, but I saw a website that said that the model 68 was produced from 1978 until 1985, then the model 68S was produced from 1993 until 1998. When I go to the Blue Book of Gun Values, it talks about the Rossi model 68, and no other Rossi models fit the description of this gun. As far as the rossi usa website goes, it looks like a R35102 or a R35102FC but I could be wrong. It was bought new in +- 1994, and had less than 30 rounds through it. so any one that can assist or know would be of much help. The enter or return buttons will not initiate your inquiry). This is a Rossi model 68S, as far as I can tell. For the endorsement letter I need the Model nr. The Rossi Model Number Lookup System will help you find detailed information about your Rossi Gun. I just bought this Rossi snubby from another INGO member, and I like to find out as much information as possible about used gun when I buy them.
